MEET THE STAFF IN WARRENVILLE
Bob Theodore - Running Club Coordinator - Founder of the Run Club in Warrenville, Bob
has run competitively for over 30 years and has won many races at various distances. In
addition to his road running, he also competes extensively in triathlons & trail runs. In 2006 &
2007, Bob earned the distinction of Triathlon Honorable Mention All-American. He is the lead
instructor for our triathlon training program where he utilizes his 30 year coaching background
in addition to his personal endeavors. When he is not coaching or working out, Bob is a
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) in Naperville or can be found out snowboarding, hiking,
running or biking on the slopes of Colorado.
Joe LoPresto - Running Club Coordinator - When I heard 'run club' I had an image of a
bunch of really fast track guys. I quickly saw that most of the runners were just like me. Just
typical LifeTime members looking to improve themselves and have some fun while doing so.
With the help of my wonderful new friends at Running Club I've completed running and triathlon
races at all distances including the Ironman. I have a special interest in helping others achieve
their fitness goals, especially those new to running or triathlon. As the Running Club
Coordinator and USAT Certified Coach, I develop and coach many of our training programs.
I'm also one of the Saturday Group Run Leaders. Outside of 'club', I'm the Owner and Head
Coach of ExperienceTriathlon, a personal and group coaching services business.
Other hobbies include wilderness expeditions, skiing, music, movies, reading and spending time
with friends.
Suzy Cerra - Group Bike Coordinator
I was one of the original members of the Running Club when LifeTime Fitness Warrenville
opened several years ago. I have participated in several group fitness classes such as the
Beginner 5K class, Next Level Challenge, Tri Training and Masters Swimming. Doing so gave
me the courage and the skills necessary to take my running to a new level and become a
triathlete. I am a coached athlete with Experience Triathlon, and I am looking forward to
competing in 3 olympic distance triathlons this year. I have enjoyed becoming more involved
as a Group Run leader, Beginner 5K Coach and Social Coordinator, and I am excited to serve
as the Group Bike Coordinator.
Meredith McCormick - Run Leader - I’ve been a member of the Lifetime Fitness Running
Club since the fall of 2004. At that time I was new to running and looking for a group to
challenge me to run longer distances. The group provides training, support and friendship. At
the weekly runs, I learn about local running events and I can always find someone to run with
me. The group is motivating and we encourage each other to set new goals. Recently, I
finished my second half marathon and I plan to run the 2008 Chicago marathon in October.
The group introduced me to road biking and inspired me to complete my first triathlon in 2006.
The social outings are a great way to relax and get to know the other runners.
Bryan Hauser - Run Leader - A few marathons under the belt and plenty of half marathons
over the years keep me motivated to run, however, I also enjoy many other sports such as
surfing, snowboarding, rockclimbing, wake boarding, and hunting. I have been at LTF since it
opened, I started as a treadmiller, 30 mins a day 5 days a week. I realized this was not how I
wanted to enjoy my runs. I had seen the "runners" meeting in the lobby at night and figured I
would just see what it was all about. I’ve been running with the group ever since. I may not be
the fastest of the bunch, but the progress I have made over the years and the friends I have
met have been the true reward.
Drew Repoza - Group Run Leader - When I joined the Lifetime Fitness running club in early
2005, it wasn’t just to improve my running. My wife Laurie and I were also hoping to meet
people with similar interests and goals. Right away, we found a great deal of support and
camaraderie among the other run club members. With the positive reinforcement of having a
friendly, chatty group to run with every week, I became a much more consistent runner. And
with that consistency have come steady gains in my ability and overall fitness. When Joe asked
me if I would be willing to be a run leader, I was happy for the opportunity to continue the
tradition of support for our members that has been the strength of this run club.
Carrie Ryan - Swim Coach - I began swimming competitively in high school and continued to
compete at the collegiate level. Last year, I decided to complete a triathlon. By far, the
running portion proved to be the biggest challenge for me. I joined the Life Time Fitness
Running Club for various reasons but primarily to improve my running skills. From the
perspective of a beginner runner, when I joined, I was unable to run a mile. Now I run an
average of 12 miles per week and compete monthly in local 5k races. The LTF Running Club
has a diverse group of members at various levels of running ability. I have learned from the
experience and knowledge of others and have been motivated to improve each week. I have
enjoyed meeting interesting, supportive people at the weekly runs, monthly seminars and
running club socials. I enjoy traveling, movies and teaching 7th grade Math.
